Cardz 4 Guyz Challenge #16 "Time"

The theme for this week's Challenge #16 at Cardz 4 Guyz is "Time".  I went with the obvious on this one—clocks! I used a large Aladine clock face stamp for the focal point, layered with some die-cuts. I wasn't real vintage-y last week—more like retro—so I decided to return to my comfort zone with this one. Those are truly vintage buttons to the left, by the way. I wanted a bit of texture on this card so the card base is made from an A4 kraft envelope that I cut down to a 15 cm square. On it's own that's not a thick enough paper, but with the cardstock inside and out it works great.

The outside says "...it's time" and the inside sentiment says "...to celebrate. Happy Birthday!".

I've used the sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday as my base for this card.

Hop on over and see what the other fab Cardz 4 Guyz designers have created for you again this week. We'd love to see you join us!

  12. Ooh la laaa...how did I miss this one? I'm way behind in checking out your blog, that's how. This is a FABULOUS card and so evident of that for which you're known - lots of patterns, textures and perfectly placed layers. This is a true Shani card. Love LOVE the interpretation of the sketch - that little open frame under the top clock adds so much more interest than another solid layer. The buttons are great, too! Bravo, Cherie!
