Green mangos from Cameroon, cherimoya from Spain and French gariguette strawberries

Ah, spring is here at last! One of the nicest things about spring are the fresh fruits you can only get this time of year. This weekend found some of my favorites in the market.

These are green mangos from Cameroon (delicious! with an almost lime taste) and a cherimoya from Spain. Cherimoyas aren't much too look at on the outside, but the inside? Oh my, that's another thing altogether! So sweet! Almost creamy! There's a reason its nickname is custard apple. I slice mine in two and eat it with a spoon.

And then there are the French gariguette strawberries. Ah, now these babies are so tasty! By the time Saturday was over, these were gone.
